DESCRIPTION:Imagine you could keep your eyes open for a certain amount of time and capture everything you’re seeing in just one image – wouldn’t that be nice? That’s exactly how long exposure photography works; instead of “freezing” time\, the idea is to capture everything that happens while the shutter is open. \nThis is a quick online theory session giving you a starter guide to this popular form of photography. \nYou’ll learn how to use ND filters to master the visual effects they can create\, like making the water look like glass and clouds streak in the sky. DESCRIPTION:Each year\, photography clubs from across the Wellington region come together to compete for bragging rights and spiffy trophies for best print. Technical skill doesn’t necessarily guarantee a place in the top 3\, but a good eye and submitting a photo deftly encapsulates the theme will take you far. \n \nThe interclub competition is a great competition for new and experienced members alike with no cost to make an entry. Printing costs are covered by the club if your print is selected and will be returned after the judging. \nDue to current global circumstances\, 2021 will have two of these competitions. It just allows us to keep better track of the images. \n\nNumber_FirstName_Surname_Title.jpg\n\nEntry Rules\n\n All elements must be the work of (or have been created by) the photographer (entrant).\n The use of stock photography\, computer-rendered or third party content (including skies\, borders or textures) is prohibited. \n All content and images must be from original exposures made within 24 months of the Entry closing date. This includes all composite elements of an image\, such as backgrounds\, skies\, textures and borders.\n Images captured\, retouched\, digitally edited or printed over the duration of a workshop\, seminar\, tutorial\, or similar\, where the primary focus is for education\, are ineligible\, irrespective of whether it was under the direct instruction of the presenter or not. This rule only applies to attendees of workshops\, tutorials and educational/training events. Instructors\, students\, emerging members\, and attendees of photo-tours where the primary focus is not educational\, are not restricted. \n\nIf you have any questions\, regarding the entry or the rules please let us know. Exemptions may be granted in cases of sickness/extenuating circumstances (This will be on a case by case basis) \nDoors open at 7:00pm
