DESCRIPTION:If you’re an avid watcher of CSI or enjoy reading a good crime mystery from time to time\, tonight’s meeting will be of particular interest. \nConstable Jane Dunn (Gowans) will talk about her work in Forensic Imaging for the New Zealand Police. \nAbout 40 photographers work in police stations around the country. They use still or video cameras to record any evidence that may help a criminal inquiry or a later prosecution. Their work includes documenting homicides\, sexual assaults\, robbery\, arson\, burglary\, drug scenes\, car crashes and suspicious deaths.

SUMMARY:Smoke and Oil
DESCRIPTION:This will be a somewhat experimental evening with smoke & oil. Bring your camera for a night playing and trying out your creative and abstract skills. \nWe will have several containers of water and oil with coloured lights. If we can manage to do so within H&S regulations (and away from smoke detectors) we will also be looking to produce smoke. \nA Macro lens may be particularly useful for the close up work. Ipads also work well apparently. \nShould be a really fun time.
