PSNZ Interclub Competitions 2026

WPS is planning to enter the inter-club competitions about to be run by the Photographic Society of New Zealand (PSNZ), namely the: 

• Wiltshire Cup for a set of four open digital images 

• Bowron Landscape Trophy for a set of four digital landscape images 

• Bledisloe Cup for a set of four open prints, which must have been captured in New Zealand 

• Chance Cup for a set of four landscape prints 

To submit an entry for each competition, we need to select four images, one from each of four different members. Our starting pool of images for consideration for our sets contains the images submitted for last year’s projected image competition and the exhibition. But we would like have a bigger pool to chose from so we are calling on you to sort out some recent examples of your best work and submit them for consideration for selection for our entries. 

For the print competitions, the plan is to use the matted print from the exhibition if one of those images is selected. Otherwise, WPS will arrange to get selected images printed and matted. For the selection process, send your submission digitally. 

In order to select our entries and get the submission into PSNZ on time, we need submissions of images for potential selection by the end of Sunday, 8 February. 

To submit your entries, send them to comms@wps.org.nz and name the image files as appropriate: 

• Wiltshire_LastnameFirstname_Title 

• Bowron_LastnameFirstname_Title 

• Bledisloe_LastnameFirstname_Title 

• Chance_LastnameFirstname_Title 

 

Rules of the competitions applying to the entries are:  

• Each image in our set must be by a different photographer. 

• Photographs may be colour, monochrome, toned, or any combination thereof. 

• Photographs must have been exposed by the photographer. 

• Any processing should be done by the photographer, or at the specific direction of him/her. 

• Composite images must only contain original work by the photographer. 

• Digital Images must be saved as a JPEG with a maximum of 3840 pixels on the horizontal side and 2160 pixels on the vertical side. 

• Images must be saved in the sRGB colour space. 

• Images entered by a club in these inter-club competitions in previous years are not eligible. 

• All images must be titled. 

• Where a person is a financial member of more than one club, he or she may exhibit images (print or digital) with more than one club entry, provided such images are not identical or of very similar subject matter.
