PSNZ Honours Club

The purpose of this club is to provide support and encouragement to WPS members who are interested in attaining one of the three levels of distinction awarded by the Photographic Society of New Zealand: Licentiate, Associateship, and Fellowship.

The purpose of the awards is to encourage New Zealand Photographers to push their boundaries and grow their artistic and technical skills through an awards system not unlike what exists in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada.

Achieving an honours level also unlocks opportunities within the PSNZ such as judging for photographic competitions for other clubs.

At this stage, we are starting the Honours Club for those trying for the first award, Licentiate, which is open to PSNZ and non-PSNZ members. Is there is enough interest in higher levels, we’re more than happy to accommodate.

The first meeting will be this Wednesday, March 10th at 5pm at the Tramping Club. It will be a quick meeting for people to discuss what they want out of the club and when they want to meet.

However, I am more than happy to host this meeting on ZOOM instead if there is greater interest in that. Please comment below if you prefer a ZOOM meet-up
