Legal Session with Simon Woolf

One of our life members, Simon Woolf, will discuss various legal aspects of photography, including copyright, asserting moral rights, photographing in public places, the use of model releases, and the impact of some other legislation. He has some stories to tell us from his own experiences.
Simon would like to make this an interactive session so come along with your questions or your own examples of situations you have experienced relating to this topic.
One of New Zealand’s most respected and experienced photographers, Simon has had a long career as a professional photographer with Woolf Photography, which traces its history back to a studio started by Spencer Digby in 1934 that was acquired by Simon’s parents, Ronald and Inge Woolf, in 1960. He holds the distinction of Master of Photography from the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photographers. Simon has also had a long association with the Wellington Photographic Society and the Photographic Society of New Zealand, being awarded his Fellowship of the Photographic Society of New Zealand (FPSNZ) in 2001.
Members of the public are welcome to attend, tea and biscuits will be provided.
