DESCRIPTION:Pre-selection deadline is Thursday 7 Sept: Members can submit up to 3 digital images (Max size 3mb) in jpeg format. File name should have your name in it e.g. exhibition-ian-smith-1 \nEmail images to competitions@wps.org.nz prior to the deadline date. \nFeedback will come back to youby Thursday 21 Sept and you must then resubmit your image/s by Sunday 1 Oct. \nSelection Presentation is Thursday 12 Oct: Get a preview and insight into how images for the 125th Anniversary Exhibition were selected. Your selectors this year are Jenny Dey\, Mark Berger\, and Philip Dyer. \nPrinting Deadline Fri 20 October: You will submit your selected image/s as high-resolution jpeg file to competitions@wps.org.nz no later than Friday 20 October for bulk printing. Members will be invoiced the respective costs. \nThe WPS 125th Anniversary Exhibition is sponsored by Nikau Foundation and supported by Wellington Community Trust and Wellington Photographic Supplies.

SUMMARY:Smoke and Oil
DESCRIPTION:This will be a somewhat experimental evening with smoke & oil. Bring your camera for a night playing and trying out your creative and abstract skills. \nWe will have several containers of water and oil with coloured lights. If we can manage to do so within H&S regulations (and away from smoke detectors) we will also be looking to produce smoke. \nA Macro lens may be particularly useful for the close up work. Ipads also work well apparently. \nShould be a really fun time.
