DESCRIPTION:It’s been a while since we had a good old-fashioned ‘Show and Tell’ \nIt could be prints\, a photobook\, a piece of gear that makes your life easier\, or a portfolio or website you are currently working on\, the project you are most proud of or even something you can’t work out and have been scratching your head about (we’ve all been there!). \nWhatever it is\, come along and tell us about it. There’s nothing quite like learning from and sharing with others\, so let’s make it happen! If you don’t have any images or a project to share\, your input will be welcome anyway so come along too! We’re keen to keep providing a supportive community that helps and supports other photographers. \nFor those bringing images\, feel free to bring along physical prints and/or digital (on a device such as a phone/tablet/laptop). Please bring your own device. \nSo\, come along and share your work\, projects\, inspiration or tips and tricks with us! \nPhotography Gear Sale & Swap\nWe are also making space for a small gear sale. Club members and the general public are invited to bring along any surplus camera equipment or general photography-related gear they might have and put it up for sale. \nIf successful sellers could make a small donation from their sales\, that would be great. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an opportunity to shoot in black and white in a relaxed environment. \nStarting at the Te Papa Museum ground floor cafe\, we will have a chat\, set our cameras to black and white together and then set off to capture some images. Returning to the cafe afterwards we will then hand our cameras around to show and discuss what we each captured. \n\nThis is a fun\, relaxed shoot suitable for any level of experience.Equipment: Camera with a blank SD card (a phone with a monochrome setting would also work).\nSaturday\, 20th July\, 10am to Lunchtime\, Te Papa Museum Cafe

DESCRIPTION:Alastair is a professional photographer who offers training in all aspects of the photography workflow. \nThis includes the use of Lightroom & Photoshop\, book making\, printing\, scanning and also colour management from capture to output which will be the focus of this presentation. \nAlastair will guide you through concepts and techniques to help you understand how to consider colour-management throughout your workflow – with special consideration for prepping images for print.
