DESCRIPTION:This Thursday’s meeting will be all about sharing some of your favourite work!\n\nWe would like each member to bring some of their favourite Photobooks along to share with other members. This could be a portfolio from your favourite photographer\, a technique book\, a selection of your personal work\, family photographs or even a particular zine that you appreciate. Perhaps you even have a favourite content creator you’d like to let others know about. Digital versions are welcome.\n\nWhatever it is\, come along and tell us about it. There’s nothing quite like learning from and sharing with others\, so let’s make it happen! If you don’t have any books or a project to share\, your input will be welcome anyway so come along too! DESCRIPTION:We are planning a meetup to view the 2024 World Press Photo Exhibition.\n\nJoin us on Saturday morning\, 10am at the Asteron Centre\, Wellington Central\, near the Railway Station. Entry is $15 for adults.\n\nThe World Press Photo Foundation\, established in 1955\, is a leading organization in visual journalism. Its annual contest recognizes and rewards the best in photojournalism and documentary photography\, attracting entries from professional photographers worldwide.\n\nThe resulting exhibition tours over 40 countries\, showcasing powerful visual stories that capture the most pressing issues of our time.\nIf you are unable to join us\, the exhibition is running until 5pm Sunday 13th.
