SUMMARY:Bruce Girdwood – Going for your PSNZ Honours
DESCRIPTION:Bruce Girdwood – Going for your PSNZ Honours \nThe Photographic Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) has a system of honours\, with three levels of distinctions – Licentiate\, Associateship and Fellowship.  Each level requires the photographer to demonstrate an increasing level of photographic competence and artistry. \nIn this session\, Bruce will give us an introduction to the PSNZ honours system – what it is\, the benefits of going for an honour\, what you have to do to submit\, and what is expected for a successful set. \nDuring his presentation\, Bruce will talk about some recent successful honours sets. He would also like to give feedback on some recent unsuccessful sets\, with coaching to help a future application. If you would be interested in having your unsuccessful set discussed\, please e-mail comms@wps.org.nz to let us know. \nAbout Bruce:\nBruce is a Fellow of the Photographic Society of New Zealand and a PSNZ accredited judge. For the last six years\, he has been Chair of the PSNZ Honours Board. He has also served for seven years on the PSNZ Judge Accreditation Panel\, including six as Chair. \nBruce played a pivotal role in developing and leading PSNZ’s Judge Training Programme. He has also served as a convenor of selectors for numerous national and regional exhibitions and has contributed to the selection of international exhibitions. \nBruce is an accomplished photographic tour leader\, workshop instructor\, and speaker\, sharing his expertise and creative insights across New Zealand. For Bruce\, photography is more than a visual art – it’s a deeply personal form of self-expression and storytelling\, capturing his journey of discovery and connection with the world.
