Image Critique: Bring your own print
July 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Do you have any photographs that you would like feedback on? Or maybe you just can’t put your finger on what might make the image better?
You may bring in up to five photographs for critique; they can be possible competition entries or anything else you want input on. This is a great chance to run your work past others for feedback on how you can improve, and to discuss your work with other photographers at the end of the evening.
You can bring digital photos on your own device or physical prints. If bringing prints we suggest at least 8×12 size so that people can view details. The images do not need to be mounted or framed, but can be. Feedback will be anonymous during the critique and there will be an opportunity later in the evening to discuss your image with others if you would like to.
You can have up to five photographs per person in print or on a device (laptop or tablet). You don’t need to bring any photographs to take part, you’re more than welcome to simply provide feedback to others or simply catch-up with other photographers.
Don’t be afraid to participate – you do not need to be a member to take part in this meeting, whether receiving feedback or just providing some.
If you are unable to bring along a digital copy on your own device, then email your images to comms@wps.org.nz and we will put your image on the projector. We cannot guarantee feedback for these images, but we will do our best.
Members of the public are welcome to attend, tea and biscuits will be provided.
- Date: Thursday 9th July
- Time: Doors open from 7pm, critique will begin at 7.30pm
- Location: 4 Moncrieff Street, Mt Victoria
Digital Copies
For those wanting to bring digital images rather than prints on Thursday. In order to be able to critique digital images, we will need each person to set up their images in a folder on their device. The other members will view the images on that device.
Each image will need to be titled – just numbers are fine as we just need to be able to identify each one for the feedback. Having the images in a separate folder means people can switch between just those images easily. You are also welcome to set up a slideshow or similar (please allow enough time for each image to be fully digested).
