John Boyd – Landscape Photography & PSNZ

John Boyd is one of the Wellington Photographic Society’s most respected and long-serving members, having joined the Society in 1982. Over more than four decades, he has made an outstanding contribution to WPS through his dedication, service, and commitment to fostering photographic excellence. In recognition of this exceptional contribution, John was awarded Life Membership of the Society.
John’s influence extends far beyond Wellington. Within the wider New Zealand photographic community, he is held in the highest regard and has been recognised with the prestigious distinctions of Honorary Fellow and Honorary Member of the Photographic Society of New Zealand. He also holds the Associate distinction (APSNZ), reflecting his significant achievements and longstanding contribution to photography nationwide.
John’s passion for photography, generosity in sharing his knowledge, and unwavering support of fellow photographers have left a lasting impact on both WPS and the broader photographic community.
