Interclub Battle date: Sunday 18 October

We (Porirua CC) will be arranging a programme of entertainment as follows:
Saturday 17 October
- 1.00pm – Meet at Groundup Café, 15 Paekakariki Hill Road, Pāuatahanui
- 2.00pm – Visit the following locations:
- St Alban’s Church, Pauatahanui
- Pauatahanui Wildlife Reserve
- Camborne Boatsheds.
The are situated at the south end of the Camborne Walkway and easily accessed via the car park on the north side of the Paremata Bridge. The boatsheds date from 1949 and were developed from small boatsheds to more substantial structures. Poet Sam Hunt lived at Boatshed No.5 in the 1990s.
- 5.30pm – Dinner at the Porirua Photography Clubrooms, The Attic” of the Woolshed at the historic Gear Homestead, 1 Okowai Road, Papakōwhai, Porirua. Bring your own takeaways. We will provide tea, coffee, juice and ice cream. We stoll this idea from the Whanganui Club!
Sunday 18 October
We are still in the planning stages for what to do in the morning. These are our thoughts so far:
- Pataka and Porirua walkabout
- Titahi Bay boat sheds
- Paremata bridge sunrise and walk along boat sheds
Topics
- Freeze the action – action shot which captures the sense of motion but with minimal or no blur. Panning shots which show background blur are not valid.
- Facial expressions – a facial expression which captures and conveys emotion
- Fire and / or Frozen – an image that captures either or both senses of heat and cold
- Food glorious food – A shot which makes the mouth water and the stomach rumble
- Fellowship – a photo which captures a sense of community, togetherness, shared concern or care for others
- Fashion, flair, flamboyance – anything goes as long it is conveys the theme
- Fungus, Fruit, Flowers – From the natural setting to a formal arrangement, a photo which incorporates one or more of the themed items
- Flight – An object, bird, person, in the act of flying through the air
- Forces of Nature – Earth, Fire, Water, Resilience of nature
- Festival – the image should convey the sense of fun, colour, activities of an event.
