The WPS experience

• Every year we deliver a fresh and unique programme that entertains, challenges and enlightens all tastes and ages. We believe passionately in supporting our local community and our roots are firmly planted in Wellington. It is the work of our volunteers and the sponsorship from local businesses that allows us to realise the full potenial of our programme.
• Wellington Photographic Society is one of the oldest photographic organisations in New Zealand with a diverse group of photographers, and we encourage our members to explore all subjects and types of photography.
• For over a century the society has helped develop the skills of amateur and professional photographers, helping start many in a life long hobby and given a start to many internationally recognised photographer.
• The society attracts a broad age range of members, from families with young children to grandparents.
• Wellington Photographic Society is a registered charity and our mission is to promote and develop photography and to support photographers and we are supported by a loyal team of volunteers.
