Annual Print Competition – Print Drop off

There will be two main opportunities to drop prints off, this Thursday’s meeting (23rd November) and a separate drop off the following week (we are yet to pick a date/time). But it’s likely to be Thursday or Friday in the city.

We put up a separate post for the 2nd date shortly.

Scavenger Hunt: Entry & Rules

November 11, Saturday 2.30pm – Starting Point Anderson Park (by Bolton St Cemetery)

The Hunt begins at 2:30 pm

The object of this event is to have fun and challenge yourself/and team. Although there are 10 items, you only need to find 6 to enter the draw for prizes. There will be a prize for the best overall image and a random spot prize for a lucky photographer. The overall prize will be awarded at a later date to allow time for images to be submitted.

Interclub 2023

October 29 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

The Annual Interclub Print Battle is coming up with the current date of the competition being October 29th, hosted by the Kapiti Coast Camera Club. We will update with further details as they are available. Each year, photography clubs from across the Wellington region come together to compete for bragging rights and spiffy trophies.

2023 AGM

Notice of Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Wellington Photographic Society Inc
The date of the AGM is set for 28 September 2023. We are calling for any motions members want to put on the agenda as part of the AGM business, and for nominations for officeholders and WPS Committee members. Any motion for a change to the WPS Rules must be sent to the Secretary by 14th of September. Information on committee roles and nomination forms can be obtained via email. (Submissions are now closed!)

PSNZ Print Circle

If you attended Barry Mahon’s talk on his PSNZ Honours portfolio and light painting demonstration, then you may recall Barry talking about the PSNZ Print Circle which helped him develop and improve his photography.

Barry has advised that there is space for a couple of new members and is hoping that one or both spots can be filled by WPS members.
