Interclub 2023

The Annual Interclub Print Battle is coming up with the current date of the competition being October 29th, hosted by the Kapiti Coast Camera Club. We will update with further details as they are available. Each year, photography clubs from across the Wellington region come together to compete for bragging rights and spiffy trophies.

The interclub competition is a great competition for new and experienced members alike with no cost to make an entry. It is also a great opportunity to plunder your archives or reuse an exhibition print. Printing costs are covered by the club if your print is selected and will be returned after the judging.

There are 10 categories to enter this year:
Grunge | From above | Iconic places of the lower North Island | Fear | Still life | Celebration | In the style of Helmut Newton | Triptychs | Chaos | Seeing red

Where do you send submissions? comms@wps.org.nz
What’s the deadline? October 8th, 2023. This will give us time to select, notify successful entrants, format, request alterations, print, and matt.

What are the dimensions/size?

• For the purposes of selection, please send digital images only but let us know if you have a print/matted version of the image available.
• 6mb Max at full resolution. We will resize the image to the size required for the competition but we will let you know if you need to bump up the resolution.

Naming the image file?

• This is VERY IMPORTANT. We receive lots of photos for different competitions and projects. This helps us keep things organised.
• Interclub_Category_LastNameFirstName_Title
• I.e.Interclub_GreatOutdoors_RideoutBronwyn_OhNoABear

Our advice is to avoid sending any images from recent workshops, PSNZ or otherwise. If you are a member of another Camera Club, please make sure that the images that you submit to WPS have not been submitted to other clubs for their Interclub entry.
