If you attended Barry Mahon’s talk on his PSNZ Honours portfolio and light painting demonstration, then you may recall Barry talking about the PSNZ Print Circle which helped him develop and improve his photography.
Barry has advised that there is space for a couple of new members and is hoping that one or both spots can be filled by WPS members.
Unfortunately, we have decided to postpone our AGM. Due to the current level 4 lockdown, the uncertainty around its possible extension and to look after our members, friends and whanau, we’ve made the decision to postpone our 2021 AGM this Thursday.
The Wellington Photographic Society Annual Exhibition opening night is on the 13th of July from 7pm.
Come see the best images our members have captured as well as the winning images of our Competitions. Our annual exhibition is the opportunity to showcase the best work of our members to family, friends and the public and we try to include work from each member.

Current members of WPS are invited to submit up to three images to be considered for selection for the exhibition.

2021 promises to be a very exciting year for our society with a great variety of events and activities planned. We kick off in a relaxed social manner a barbecue this Saturday at Carlucciland (see link below for details)
In response to the latest Covid 19 updates, all meetings until further notice* are postponed
At the moment, this affects all events through March and April. *We’ll re-assess the situation at the end of April with advice taken from government agencies and update our calendar then.

Now is the time for WPS photographers to submit images for the Society entry into this popular interclub event. Each year the clubs in the area submit their best prints covering ten different topics for the bragging rights of being the best overall club in the region. The event this year is being hosted by the Kapiti Coast Camera Club and the judging will take place at the Otaihanga Boating Club Hall, 19 Makora Road Otaihanga on Monday 23 September 2019, starting at 7.30pm.
It’s always a fun evening so mark this date in your diaries now.
