Exhibition 2026: Member Information
The exhibition is being held this year at the Thistle Hall in Cuba St and will run from 5th to the 11th of October.
Our annual exhibition is the opportunity to showcase the best work of our members to family, friends and the public and we try to include work from each member. Current members of WPS are invited to submit up to three images to be considered for selection for the exhibition.
Entry
- Each member can submit up to three images.
- Entries should be sent to comms@wps.org.nz by midnight, 5th September 2026.
- File Specs: Full resolution under 12MB
- File naming: First name, Last Name, Title (if any)
- Colour Mode: RGB colour mode (not Grayscale)
- Bit Depth: 8 bits/Channel
- Colour Space: SRGB
- JPEG Format: Baseline (“Standard”)
File Naming
To avoid mixing up each member’s files, each image should have a clear file naming structure. It just allows us to keep better track of the images.

Printing and matting
The exhibition will be shown in the club frames, which are 16 x 20 inches. We will arrange printing and mounting of selected images on your behalf. You may elect to print and matt your own images. If this is the case, Please contact us to discuss.
Cost
To assist with the costs of running the exhibition, our most expensive activity of our year, we are asking you for a contribution of $40 as an entry fee (reduced to $10 if you provide your own matted print). If you’d like to make a further donation towards the costs, please feel free to do so.
