The Annual Interclub Print Battle is coming up with the current date of the competition being October 29th, hosted by the Kapiti Coast Camera Club. We will update with further details as they are available. Each year, photography clubs from across the Wellington region come together to compete for bragging rights and spiffy trophies.

The date of the AGM is set for 28 September 2023. We are calling for any motions members want to put on the agenda as part of the AGM business, and for nominations for officeholders and WPS Committee members. Any motion for a change to the WPS Rules must be sent to the Secretary by 14th of September. Information on committee roles and nomination forms can be obtained via email. (Submissions are now closed!)

If you attended Barry Mahon’s talk on his PSNZ Honours portfolio and light painting demonstration, then you may recall Barry talking about the PSNZ Print Circle which helped him develop and improve his photography.
Barry has advised that there is space for a couple of new members and is hoping that one or both spots can be filled by WPS members.
We are planning to submit an entry into the Trenna Packer Salver competition this year. This competition is for a set of 6 nature projected images from participating clubs.

Welcome to our Summer Photography Competition! This competition invites photographers of all levels to showcase their best summer-themed shots. From beach landscapes to city streets filled with sun-kissed crowds, we’re looking for images that capture the essence of summer and the memories it creates. We have a prize for winner from our friends at Splendid. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your work and potentially have it recognized. So grab your camera and start snapping!

Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle 2022 Update
A quick update on this year’s print battle, which is almost upon us! I do hope you can encourage as many of your members to attend as possible in support of your entry. It will be the first time we have been able to socialise with other clubs free of Covid restrictions
Members of the Wellington Photographic Society are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting: 7.00 pm on the 8th of September 2022 to be held both in-person at the Tararua Tramping Club and online via Zoom.
