Covid 19 and our programme

In response to the latest Covid 19 updates, all meetings until further notice* are postponed
At the moment, this affects all events through March and April. *We’ll re-assess the situation at the end of April with advice taken from government agencies and update our calendar then.

That’s all for now. Stay safe, wash your hands, drink plenty and keep that social distance. Keep an eye on the government COVID19 website for safety information.

If you have ideas for online activities, resources, etc we’d love to hear them  Feel free to email us anytime at comms@wps.org.nz

WPS Exhibition 2019 Tātou Taonga Our Treasure

The exhibition is being held this year at the Thistle Hall in Cuba St and will run from 28 October – 3 November 2019.
Our annual exhibition is the opportunity to showcase the best work of our members to family, friends and the public and we try to include as wide a range of members as possible.
Current members of WPS are invited to submit up to three images to be considered for selection for the exhibition.

Theme
All photos submitted must have been shot within the Wellington region, and be labelled with the location shot at.

Entry

  • Each member can submit up to three images.
  • Initially, electronic entries should be sent to competitions@wps.org.nz by midnight, 12 October 2019.
  • File Specs: Full resolution under 7MB
  • File naming: First name, Last Name, Title (if any)
  • Include the location of the photo in either the e-mail or image title (suburb would be a useful inclusion).

Printing and matting
The exhibition will be shown in the club frames, which are 16 x 20 inches. We will arrange printing and mounting of selected images on your behalf.
You may elect to print and matt your own images. If this is the case, the mounted images will need to fit the club frames and would preferably be with white mats. Likewise, any images submitted that are already framed will need to be consistent with the club frames sizing and aesthetic. Acceptance of matted (or framed) images for the exhibition will be subject to committee approval.
