Also special thanks to Jordyn O’Keeffe for her detailed analysis/critique of each entry. It was a very impressive critique and we all learned a lot from her.
During this meeting WPS members at the AGM are to elect the officers of the Society, that is the President, Secretary and Treasurer, and up to five committee members. Committee members take responsibility for different areas of the club’s work.
At the AGM Gail Teale finishes her two year term and will hand over to a new president. Tom Zink, Hilary Troup and Lesley Moyes are leaving their positions. Gail Teale is leading the preparation for a new committee. If you would like a role on the committee or want to propose a member for a committee role, please contact Gail Teale at President@wps.org.nz
Gail has the full revised committee position descriptions and is happy to discuss nominations.
Congratulations to the Hutt Camera Club who won the 2016 Wellington Interclub Battle. WPS gave them a good chase right to the finish line but in the end HCC lead with a 2 point advantage.
Thanks to APPS for organising a great event and Helen Mitchell for judging such an exciting competition.
Well done to all the WPS photographers who provided the ten images and especially to Ian McIlraith and Dave Roberts whose prints got first place in their respective categories.
As usual, it was a fun evening of good club rivalry and socialising.
