People and Event Photography workshop
Our Summer workshop / photo walk lead by Mary Hutchinson is the second in a series of photo walks being organised by WPS as part of the Botanic Gardens 150th Celebrations and the ‘Fresh Shoots’ Photo Competition.
Registrations will open in December and numbers will be limited so make sure you reserve your space.
Mary’s photo walk will focus on People and Event Photography and is being combined with the Victorian Picnic that will be taking place in the gardens on the same day. We will start with a brief tutorial in the Seminar Room at the Treehouse before heading out into the gardens to capture people in the gardens and the activities of the Victorian Picnic. Mary will be available to interact and share ideas with participants and WPS volunteers will also be available to assist.
Mary is known for her inspiring street photography and ability to capture candid shots of everyday people. She has staged several exhibitions and published four photobooks focusing on the people of Newtown, Cuba District, and along the Golden Mile.
