Wellington Interclub 2020: Weekly Themes & Submission Guidelines
Week One
We are underway with our search for some outstanding images to be part of the club’s entry for the 2020 Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle. In fourteen weeks time, we will be choosing the best images on each of ten themes that make up this year’s challenge.
One of the themes is Earth, Sea and Sky which will be of interest to the landscape photographers out there. Send your entries electronically to wpscomp@gmail.com in .jpg format (Under 10mb please)

Week Two
Just Illusion is an intriguing topic for one of the ten themes that make up this year’s Welllington Region Interclub Print Battle. We are looking to submit a cracking entry on behalf of the Society so get out there and start taking photos! You can submit three images on any theme at any time up until 23 August but please don’t leave things to the last minute! Week Three
How are you going with your efforts for the Interclub Print Battle? The Mono Portrait theme is one where we have the advantage of two Zoom sessions on Post Processing organised by Keith Molloy so some outstanding images can be expected.

Week Four
A Musical Image is another of ten themes that make up the Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle which will take place this coming September. This should offer plenty of creative opportunities for all of our members!

Week Five
Once Was Home. What an evocative title that is, conjuring up images of nostalgia, faded glory, or perhaps decay. I expect there will be some strong images submitted for this theme which is just one of the ten that make up the 2020 Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle. Time to get busy with your cameras. Remember you can submit on any or all of the themes at any time up till 23 August 2020. There is a limit of three images per theme for each entrant.

Week Six
An Emotion. Another powerful and wide-ranging theme in the 2020 Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle. I am sure there is a stunning image out there waiting for one of our members to capture it!

Week Seven
We have been calling for entries into our Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle for seven weeks now and there are another seven weeks before entries close and a selection is made.
It is time to get busy. It’s not too late if you haven’t participated as yet because you can submit on any or all of the ten themes right up to the closing date. We are looking for a top-notch WPS entry as we are well aware of the talent our members possess. But, as the saying goes, you have to be in to win!

Week Eight
Macro Life. If you are keen on Macro photography, there are plenty of possibilities with this theme; one of ten that make up the 2020 Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle.

Week Nine
If you feel life leaves you hanging by a thread at times, an image based on the theme of Levitation may well appeal.
Something where you can bring your post-processing skills to the fore perhapsl
This is just one of ten themes that make up the 2020 Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle. Each of the six clubs in the region submits their best individual image on each of these themes and the overall winner on the night earns bragging rights for the rest of the year. Our host this year is the Kapiti Camera Club and the judging and presentation will take place at a date and venue to be determined sometime in September.

Week Ten
Less than a month to go in compiling a first-class entry for WPS in the 2020 Wellington Region so time is running out fast.
In first seeing the theme Luscious Liquid I was drawn to the Idea of a Lolita-like figure seductively sipping a milkshake through a straw! No doubt you will have far more original ideas than that!
This is just one of ten themes that make up the 2020 Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle in which WPS is determined to do well.

Week Eleven
Do you know of Andreas Gursky? I must admit I had to look him up when the 2020 Wellington Region Interclub Print Battle themes were first announced. His images are quite unique and submitting an image In the Style of Andreas Gursky will be quite a challenge for many of us. However, it is good to move out of one’s comfort zone from time to time.
This is the last of the ten themes from which we will construct the WPS entry into this competition. Only three weeks to go until the closing date so do help make our entry a truly memorable one.
